PHSA 9569 - AbbottRapid IVD reagents and consumables

Notice is hereby given that Provincial Health Services Authority, Fraser Health Authority, Interior Health Authority, Northern Health Authority, Vancouver Coastal Health Authority And Vancouver Island Health Authority (the “Health Authorities”), through their collective agent Provincial Health Services Authority (“PHSA”), intends to extend the current non-volume committed supply contract with the following supplier to provide lab equipment associated consumables for the Health Authorities for one (1) year extension  at an estimated value of CAD$161K.

In accordance with applicable trade agreements, PHSA, as agent for the Health Authority has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reason:
       •   to maintain specialized products that must be maintained by the manufacturer or its representative.
To ensure the continued supply of these essential In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD)   laboratory diagnostic reagents to the Health Authorities across province with stable pricing, we will extend the non-volume committed contract until PHSA completes an upcoming competitive process for future contracts. 
 
Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection for the attention of Fran Zhang by email before 12:00pm Pacific Time, January 26, 2023. PHSA will review any and all issues received by this date and provide due consideration to each objection.
